This policy covers the Red Reaction app for iOS and Android. Red Reaction is made by Zeroskills Games, operated by Jussi Silfver (see the Impressum), who is the controller of the personal data described below. It describes what the app actually does, not a generic template.
Questions or requests: support@zeroskills.me
The first time you open the app, it creates an anonymous account with our backend provider, Supabase: a random identifier with no name, email or password attached. It identifies your installation of the app, not you as a person, and is what everything below is linked to.
Each completed Game mode run is saved on your device and also synced to our servers under your anonymous ID, so your Training Record history isn't lost if you reinstall. A run contains: when it was played, score, level reached, number of correct taps, average reaction time, run duration, and how the run ended. This history is private to you. It is never shown to other players.
The app never asks for personal details unless you choose to join a leaderboard. If you do:
If you create or join a custom leaderboard, we store its name, its invite code and which players are members. Only its members can see it. You can stop appearing on leaderboards at any time with the "Appear on Leaderboard" toggle in Settings.
"Share Anonymous Analytics" is off by default. If you turn it on (on first launch or in Settings), the app sends usage events to Google Firebase Analytics, such as screens visited, levels and scores reached, and whether features like custom leaderboards are used. These events never include your nickname, email or country. Firebase also automatically collects technical data such as an app instance ID, device model, OS and app version, and approximate region derived from your IP address. On Android, it may also read the device's advertising ID if one is available. We don't use analytics for advertising or share it with advertisers. Turning the toggle off stops collection immediately.
The Share button creates a screenshot of your round on your device and hands it to your phone's share sheet. The screenshot isn't uploaded to us. Where it goes is up to you and the app you share it with. Leaderboard invite messages work the same way.
Your high score, Red Button press count, language, sound and other preferences, and the local copy of your Training Record are kept on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Both act as processors on our behalf. They may process data on servers outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or other safeguards. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Server-side data is kept until you delete it with Delete My Data or ask us to delete it. Firebase Analytics data is kept for Firebase's configured retention period (at most 14 months).
Settings → Delete My Data permanently deletes your nickname, email, country, scores, leaderboard memberships and training history from our servers, and clears the on-device training cache. This can't be undone. Analytics data isn't linked to your nickname or email, so it isn't removed by this button. Email us if you want it removed and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email support@zeroskills.me to use any of these rights. Please include your nickname if you have one, so we can find your data. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Austria, that is the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at).
Red Reaction is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
We'll update this page whenever what the app does changes, and update the "last updated" date above.
